About 180 people packed out King Road Brewing Co in Oldbury on the weekend to see The Milford Street Shakers strut their stuff on the live stage.

The nine-piece band’s “Spring into Motown” performance had guests dancing up a storm to many Motown and blues tunes from yesteryear.

The unique take on classics likes Ain’t No Mountain High Enough, Land of 1000 Dances and Uptight had attendees out of their seats and dancing all night long.

King Road Brewing Co manager Alan Quinn said it was the first time the band had played at the venue and everyone seemed to have a great time.

“It was an excellent night and a great turn-out for what was a cold spring evening,” he said.

“Hopefully we can get the band back sometime in 2019 to play out under the stars.”
