Nashos WA will host its bi-annual National Servicemen’s reunion on December 2 at the Gosnells Hotel.

The occasion will mark 15 years since Nashos WA was created in an effort to reconnect ex-servicemen with friends who served in the forces.

The group has grown from five members in July 2008 to 128, with ex-servicemen hailing from all over Perth, and as far away as Albany, Kalgoorlie and Bunbury.

Members always look forward to the Nashos reunions with up to 60 attending each event, and several new faces each time.

Bob McGuire, who created Nashos WA, said the reunions are about celebrating “mateship”.

“Without these reunions I probably wouldn’t see my old army mates,” he said.

“You might see a mate you haven’t seen since service.

“We talk about the past, and we have a laugh about the good times.”

New members are always welcomed, and can join for free.

The hotel will be serving senior meals and a beer special on the day.

The reunion will start from 11am, and attendees are welcome to bring partners along.
