Kelmscott man stable after Camillo assault

Police are looking for the driver of a black Ford ute.

A 23-year-old Kelmscott man, who was seriously assaulted at a tavern in Camillo on Friday night, has now been stabilised, according to a spokesperson from Royal Perth Hospital.
At 10:25pm the victim was at the premises on Westfield Road when an altercation occurred between him and another male.
The victim was punched, falling to ground before hitting his head on a pool table. He was punched again and hit to the head.
The man involved fled the scene prior to police arriving.
St Johns Ambulance attended to the unconscious victim. He was conveyed to Royal Perth Hospital with serious head injuries with fractures and bleeding on the brain. The man’s condition was considered serious when he was admitted to hospital over the weekend but he has now been stabilised.
Armadale Detectives have interviewed a number of witnesses and are continuing their investigation.
