The Serpentine Jarrahdale community was greatly saddened after the recent, tragic passing of young schoolboy Tanatswa (Tana) Darangwa.
“Tana was a much-loved member of his school community and will be deeply missed by all who knew him,” Reverend Noah Mbano of the Anglican Parish of Serpentine Jarrahdale said.
“Living in Byford, he attended West Byford Primary School before joining Court Anglican Grammar School, where he quickly became known for his kind heart, humour, and love of life.
“He treasured his friendships and enjoyed spending time with both his primary school friends and high school mates at Court Anglican Grammar School. Deeply religious and guided by his Christian faith, he brought warmth and positivity to those around him.
“He had a passion for sport and especially enjoyed swimming, cycling, and basketball. He was also a proud member of the Byford Run and Become squad, a popular local community fitness group. At school, he particularly enjoyed HASS and Mathematics and was always a valued part of classroom life.

“Tana leaves behind his loving family, including his two younger sisters, aged 8 and 4. He will be remembered with great affection by students, staff, and all whose lives he touched.”
