The Gosnells Hawks league and colts teams recorded victories last Saturday but the reserves and thirds both lost.

The games were played in cold and wet conditions with most of the ground under water, which made scoring difficult.

The league team held control for most of the game but were unable to register on the scoreboard due the conditions.

The best for the Hawks were Josh Hall, Kal Cummings, Peter Spano and Chris Watterstone and the final scores were Gosnells 9.12 (66) and Ocean Ridge 4.8 (32).

The reserves team played well against the top team in Ocean Ridge but were unable to register on the scoreboard.

Coach Steve Davis was happy with his team’s performance and with several players to return from injury in the next few weeks he is optimistic that his team can improve to play in the finals.

Best for Gosnells were Ashley Pescod, Scott Lewis, Wade Gallagher and Kyle Dougan with final scores reading Ocean Ridge 5.2 (32) and Gosnells 2.9 (21).

The colt’s team continue to improve with a 63-point victory.

The best for Gosnells were Christian Agostino, Ben Pate, Stefan Little and Alex Goddard with final score for Gosnells 13.11 (89) and Ocean Ridge 4.2 (26).

The thirds found the opposition too strong and went down by 45 points with Blayden Day, Russell Fuller, Corey Ridley and Bryan Ainsworth playing well.

The final scores were Coolbinia West Perth 9.8 (62) and Gosnells 2.5 (17).

This week the league and reserves travel to Ferndale Park to play Lynwood Ferndale, the colts are home at Gosnells Oval at 10.40am to play Swan Valley and the thirds travel to Melville Reserve to play Melville at 2.30pm.
