Students at Byford Primary started the week with high flying footy when three West Coast Eagles swooped into the school for a morning of celebrity Phys Ed mentorship.

Bailey Williams, Harry Edwards and recent recruit Tyrell Dewar joined in with lessons between 9am and 11am, taking students through their paces with kicking and handball drills, and taking time to answer questions after each session.

“Kids were really excited when they found out they were coming,” deputy principal Daniel Way said.

“The players were all fantastic, they all joined in with the kids, it was a great experience.

“The good thing is the students will compete in an interschool AFL carnival at the end of this term, so this will get more of the students involved for that.”
