Thieves take car and caravan

The Jayco Sterling caravan is still missing.

Two men, including one from Roleystone, have been charged with numerous offences after they allegedly stole a Landcruiser and an $80,000 caravan from an address in Bentley last month.

Police allege a 37-year-old Roleystone man and a 25-year-old man of no fixed address stole both items from an 81-year-old Bentley man and drove to Sawyers Valley where they were caught on CCTV performing a fuel drive off at about 6am on October 21.

The vehicle was spotted later that day in Chidlow and then again at about 12noon in Glen Forrest when Mundaring Police caught up with the alleged offenders.

Both men were charged with stealing a motor vehicle and  numerous other property offences.

They appeared at the Perth Magistrates Court on October 22 and were remanded to reappear on November 19.

While the Landcruiser has been found, the Jayco Sterling caravan was last seen about 7am in Chidlow on October 21.

It is valued at about $80,000 and may still contain the registration plates 1TKN476.
