Thornlie Station is getting a major upgrade as part of the METRONET Thornlie-Cockburn Link project, and locals are being invited to see the transformation up close before passenger services officially begin.
“On June 9 – passenger services formally commence at the new station, but remember to book in Sunday June 8 to come down and see the new station as part of our free community event to celebrate the opening of the Thornlie-Cockburn Line,” Deputy Premier for WA, Minister of Transport; Sport and Recreation, Rita Saffioti, said.
Set to open to the public on Sunday, June 9, the revamped Thornlie Station will serve as a key hub on Perth’s long-awaited east-west rail connection, linking the Armadale and Mandurah Lines for the first time.
