Athletes from last year’s event had a great time.

The Every Woman Triathlon returns to the iconic Champion Lakes Regatta Centre on Sunday 18 February.

This is an event run by women, for women, aimed at encouraging women and girls to try triathlon and multisport in a safe and inclusive environment.

The event has a distance for every woman and girl, and is proudly a beginner friendly event. Girls seven years and older (and boys aged 7-15) are welcome to take part in the kids’ triathlon.

The Champion Lakes Regatta Centre provided a flat lake swim, scenic bike ride and a run free from traffic, making it the perfect location for anyone looking to try their first event or return after some time off.

Armadale mayor Ruth Butterfield said the triathlon is an exciting event on the city’s sporting calendar.

“The city is delighted to be hosting this event again and providing an opportunity for girls and women to take part in a grassroots and inclusive event,” she said.
“Those who are curious about trying a triathlon should come down and experience the world class facilities we have on show at Champion Lakes. We look forward to cheering and celebrating every one of you.”

More information and links for signing up can be found on the Every Woman Triathlon website.
