Round 3 RED Grants recipient Kanyana Engineering received $100,000 to purchase new high tech fabrication machinery to increase supply and production capability across various industries including Defence and Mining.

Round seven of the Regional Economic Development (RED Grants) for the Peel region is now open.

The state government has allocated a record $10 million for round seven for locally-driven projects that stimulate economic growth and development in regional Western Australia.

“RED Grant funding provides significant financial support for projects and helps recognise their role in strengthening our local economy, creating jobs, and diversifying our regional industries,” Peel Development Commission Chair, David Doepel said.

“We invite interested businesses to contact us to discuss their project ideas with us. We want applicants to put their best foot forward and we offer a number of informational services to help make that happen.”

Round seven grants will focus on projects that increase or sustain jobs, expand or diversify industry, develop skills or capability, increase business productivity and attract new investment to the regions.

Through the previous six rounds of RED grants, $4,017,072 in funding was approved to support 40 projects in the Peel region.

Eligible applicants can apply for RED Grants funding of up to $250,000 for individual projects in the Peel region.

Applications are now open and close on 26 June.
