Byford’s Briggs Park was a hive of activity last Saturday as youth flocked to a free drop-in session.

The session was part of the Shire of Serpentine Jarrahdale’s aim to bring more activities and events for the ever-growing youth population within the shire.

President Michelle Rich said the youth development team ran games and provided free pizzas for all those who attended.

“Young people make up a significant part of our local community and it is important that we support them to be positive role models for their peers,” she said.

“Hosting activities like this on the weekend also demonstrates to our young people that we are committed to listening to their feedback and ideas and working together to build a positive and thriving community.”

The next drop in session will be held on May 25 from 3.30pm to 8pm.
