Gosnells Hawks Football Club recorded victories over Canning South Perth in league and reserves but the thirds went down to Quinns District last Saturday.

The league team continued to impress with a 72 point winning margin.

Final scores were Gosnells 17.14 (116) Canning South Perth 6.8 (44).

For the Hawks Damien Taylor, Mitch Barbet, Cam Hayden and Brent Phillis played well.

The reserve team was never out of second gear to record a massive 175-point victory.

Coach Steve Davis is aware that his team’s season is on the line in the next two weeks when Gosnells play top teams Bassendean and Ocean Ridge.

If his team is to finish second or third on the premiership ladder and get the double chance then they must beat these clubs.

Final scores Gosnells 28.14 (182) Canning South Perth 1.1 (7)

Best players were Jack O’Reilly, Ryan Thompson, Brett Endersby and Matthew Hopewell.

The thirds gave it their best shot but found Quinns District too good on the day.

Final scores Quinns District 8.12 (60) Gosnells 4.4 (28).

On June 24 Gosnells takes on Bassendean at Jubilee Reserve, Bassendean and the thirds play West Coast at City Beach Reserve at 5 pm.
