Canning Vale Senior Football Club’s women’s side is looking to add more players to its roster in 2021.

The club will be hosting a special open day event on Monday, December 7, kicking off at 6pm.

Held at Clifton Park, the event will provide aspiring players with the chance to meet the coaches and give AFL a go.

In its inaugural season, the CVSFC women’s side did more than enough to reach the 2020 finals series.

CVSFC women’s head coach Paul Williams is feeling confident that the team can claim its first premiership title next year.

“We had good numbers and the girls did really, really well in 2020,” he said.

“Next year, we’ll be looking to advance on what we did this season.

“We’re now looking for more players, and seeking to get a good group of girls together for 2021.

“It is a great way to make new friends and improve your health and fitness.”

To play next season, players must be 16 – turning 17 – before September 2021.
