Arts Festival set to deliver

The Armadale Arts Festival kicks off with a bang this Saturday.

And as part of the opening day, the Armadale Society of Artists (ASA) will be hosting their first art markets in the grounds of the Arena.

The markets will be a showcase for some of the society’s exceptional artists, whose works will be for sale.

There will also be live music, food and refreshments, from 11am to 4pm.

But it doesn’t stop there. ASA’s gallery will be open every day of the festival, from 11am to 3pm, displaying amazing and affordable art in many mediums, and members will be hosting in-house art demonstrations and workshops.

On May 11, ASA will open the Extensions exhibition in collaboration with the City of Armadale at the Armadale Arena. This is a high-quality community art exhibition, showcasing impressive art from many talented local and visiting artists.

ASA also has a schedule of art classes and informal groups operating from Monday to Saturdays.

Anyone with an interest can take lessons from experienced, award-winning tutors with the expertise to encourage development and guide creative journeys.

Or simply drop in and join an informal group to enjoy art in a friendly and welcoming environment.

Even those who profess to not have a creative bone in their body are encouraged to have a go; after all, artists are not born they are developed.

Call in and say hello during the festival to find out how to join ASA and the benefits of being a member.

More information about can also be accessed via the ASA website www.armadalesocietyofartists.com.au or through their Facebook page.
