Young athletes, coaches, and officials are being encouraged to apply for financial support through the Local Sporting Champions program, now open for applications until July 31.
The federal grant program offers between $500 and $750 to support individuals aged 12 to 18 who are participating in state, national or international championships.
The base grant is $500, with additional amounts available depending on travel distance and location. Applicants travelling more than 800km can receive an extra $100, while those heading overseas or travelling over 2000km may receive an additional $200. A further $50 is available for those living in rural electorates.
