A man has been seriously injured in a crash involving a car and a motorcycle in Southern River.

The crash happened about 6:02pm last week Wednesday, June 11 at the intersection of Southern River Road and Gay Street.

Police said a silver Honda Civic sedan collided with a black Yamaha motorcycle.

Emergency services rushed to the scene and found a 29-year-old man with serious injuriues. He was taken by St John WA to Royal Perth Hospital.

The 23-year-old woman driving the sedan was not injured.

Major Crash Investigators examined the scene on Wednesday night and are asking for witnesses to come forward.
