Several volunteers were recognised for their exceptional service, with special mention given to those celebrating significant milestones in their years of dedication.

The Gosnells State Emergency Service (SES) marked its 45th anniversary in style with a memorable evening that celebrated the hardwork and dedication of its volunteers.

The event organised by Cherese Green and the SES team, was enjoyed by all attendees, including Mayor Terresa Lynes and fellow Councillors.

During the night, several volunteers were recognised for their exceptional service, with special mention given to those celebrating significant milestones in their years of dedication.

The SES, known for its quick response in emergencies, also plays a key role in supporting wider community, this includes their vital contribution to ANZAC Day services alongside the local RSL.

Mayor Terresa Lynes expressed her gratitude to the volunteers.

“SES volunteers don’t just respond in emergencies; they also support so many parts of our community. Thank you for everything you do. Your hard work doesn’t go unnoticed, and we’re really grateful for it,” she said.

As the event came to a close, the Mayor encouraged those in the community interested in making a difference to consider joining the SES, with the team actively seeking new volunteers.

“If you’ve ever thought about getting involved, now is the time,” she said.
