A truck driver avoided serious injury when the livestock truck loaded with pigs he was driving rolled on Karnup Road, west of Rapids Road, in Serpentine this morning.
It was reported that some pigs were dead and injured with rangers called to help recapture escapees.
It is the third major crash on the same stretch of road in six months including two recent fatalities.
Department of Fire and Emergency Services officers were called to the scene at 7.58am.
It was not known how many were pigs were injured, dead or escaped.
The incident shut down the road from Hopelands Road to Rapids Road and will remain shut for the next few hours as DFES officers deal with a fuel spill and the pigs.
