After a lengthy hiatus as a result of COVID-19 social distancing restrictions, the Lions Club of Armadale Kelmscott is set to reopen its doors to the public for Bingo.

The doors to the Armadale Sporting Club Inc in Gwynne Park Pavilion will reopen at 6pm today for Thursday night Bingo, with ‘eyes down’ from 7.30pm.

The weekly Bingo event is the biggest fundraiser for the club, with proceeds donated to local community projects and the Lions Foundation.

The return of the event follows months of preparations by the club’s organising body, with stringent cleaning procedures implemented and close consultation with the sporting club.

Bingo marketing manager Maggi Biles said the club was expecting between 40 to 60 attendees for the first night of Bingo, an event that has been running for more than a decade.

Mrs Biles encouraged to get involved in the club’s activities and support the local community, but to be patient upon arrival.
