The survey asks the community to share how they currently use the area and what improvements they would like to see.

The City of Canning is calling on residents, visitors and local groups to help shape the future of Shelley Rossmoyne Foreshore by completing an online survey before Friday, May 30.

The survey is part of the Shelley Rossmoyne Foreshore Community Access Review. It asks the community to share how they currently use the area and what improvements they would like to see. There’s also an interactive map where participants can highlight specific spots, concerns or ideas.

Those who complete both survey and the map will go into a draw to win one of four $50 gift vouchers.

The review is being run in partnership with environmental consultancy Emerge Associates and is supported by funding from the Riverbank Grant Program.

Mayor Patrick Hall said the project is a chance to protect and enhance one of the City’s most loved riverside spots.

“The Shelley Rossmoyne Foreshore is a special place for many, including in Shelley and Rossmoyne, whether you’re walking the dog, cycling, kayaking, or simply enjoying the peace and natural beauty. We want to hear from as many people as possible to ensure future plans reflect the community’s needs and aspirations while also protecting the foreshore’s environmental values,” said Mayor Hall.

Feedback from the survey will help guide future plans for public access, recreation and conservation.
