Thieves targeted a number of motor vehicle stores earlier this month, including a car dealership in Maddington.

About 1.30am on January 10, entry was gained to a business on Albany Highway in Maddington where a silver Ford Ranger utility was stolen.

About an hour later an attempted burglary occurred at a motorcycle store on Dundas Road in Forrestfield, where police believe the stolen utility was driven into the store causing substantial damage to the front of the store.

The vehicle was left at the scene with front-end damage.

About 3am entry was gained to a second motorcycle store on Dixon Road in Rockingham where a number of people entered the store and left in a silver vehicle.

Police attended a short time later and a motorcycle from the store was located at the front of the premises.

About 3.50am entry was made to a third motorcycle store on Rockingham Road in Hamilton Hill.

Two motorcycles were stolen from the store.

Police located the silver Ford Ranger alight alongside Roe Highway in Beckenham just before 5am.
