Rowan Atkinson stars in the new action adventure comedy Johnny English Strikes Again.

A shoebox inflatable boat, magnetic boots, tear gas, a couple of green pills and a whole lot of luck is all Johnny English (Rowan Atkinson) needs to uncover a mastermind hacker.

Called out of retirement after a cyber attack revealed all of the identities of the United Kingdom’s best undercover agents English is forced to put his teaching gig on hold and dive head first into action with his sidekick Bough (Ben Miller).

Choosing his old methods and gadgets over the Secret Service’s high-tech equipment, English and Bough find themselves in many sticky situations and clichéd shenanigans such as an intimate dinner scene at a French restaurant.

Throw in an American tech billionaire Jason (Jake Lacey) who is seemingly helping the UK Prime Minister (Emma Thompson) with the country’s online security issues and a mysterious spy Ophelia who pops up at every turn (Olga Kurylenko) and you have got yourself a yarn which will leave you stuck to your seat until the very end.

At times predictable but definitely laugh-out-loud funny this film shows us the magic that is Rowan Atkinson.

Let’s hope the ever funny Atkinson never gives up the acting game.
