Ian Collett has been missing since May 19.

Police are appealing to the public for information regarding the whereabouts of a 65-year-old man, Ian Collett, who left his home in Templetonia Retreat in Canning Vale at around 12.15pm on Saturday, May 19.

The last confirmed sighting of Mr Collett was at around midnight on May 19 on Albany Highway between Coglan Road and Jarrahdale Road in Mount Cooke.

The search recommenced on May 22 and will focus at the 10km mark from Armadale on Albany Highway in a southerly direction towards Albany.

40 police personnel as well as mounted officers and airwing officers, along with 50 SES personnel will take part in the search.

Police are asking anyone who lives along Albany Highway between Armadale and Albany who has CCTV cameras to check if they show Mr Collett walking past their homes.

Anyone who drove along Albany Highway between Armadale and Albany from 5.35pm on Saturday, May 19 was asked to check dashboard camera footage to see if it recorded Mr Collett. 

He is described as  fair-skinned, 176cm tall, of slim build, with grey hair.

He was last seen wearing black track pants and a black shirt with a red stripe.

He wears a bracelet stating he has dementia.

Serious concerns are held for his welfare.
