Major Crime Squad detectives were investigating the death of a 75-year-old woman at a home in Piara Waters overnight.
Around 5.45pm yesterday police and St John Ambulance officers were called to the address on Guerin Avenue.
Police said on arrival they found the woman with critical injuries and she died a short time later at the scene.
The woman’s 87-year-old husband was taken into custody.
Police were asking anyone who drove along Guerin Avenue between 4.30pm and 6.30pm on the night and has dash cam vision of people on the Avenue to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
