
With the pressure heating up for players to make the grand finals, some of the Bulldog teams sank, while others succeeded.
Women’s C1
Round 11 had an unlucky finish for the Bulldog women’s team who narrowly broke their winning streak in Saturday’s game against Kwinana at Medina Oval.

The first quarter had the Bulldog’s women’s team finishing one point behind, with one goal and one point scored compared to Kwinana’s one goal and two points.
However, half time and three-quarter time proved to be tough for Kelmscott as they were down eight to 23 in half time and 21 to 43 quarter time.
The Bulldogs were able to bring themselves back up in the final quarter but just missed out in the final quarter with a score of 42 to 43. Each team scored six goals, but the Bulldogs only scored six points while Kwinana scored seven points.
Anna-Shae Michael kicked three goals for Kelmscott, with Mahalia Rukuata kicking two goals for the women, and captain Britlee Eades kicking one.
Kelmscott are now equal seconds on the ladder with Ocean Ridge on 32 points, eight

points behind Kwinana who has held the top spot all season.
Bulldog women’s have a bye this week after their tough efforts last weekend, before playing Roleystone on July 19 on home soil at John Dunn Memorial Oval.
There’s only five more fixtured games left for the women this season.
Men’s C4
The C4 men also had a loss last weekend against Mt Lawley at Hamer Park.
The 46 to 95 final score proved the Bulldogs had a rough game against Mt Lawley who sat fifth on the ladder.
However, despite the unfortunate loss, the Kelmscott men maintain their second-place status on the ladder with 36 points, eight points behind Kenwick.
Tyson Hoare managed to score three goals for the men, with Jacob Bromfield kicking two, and both Kyle Collard and Noah Soper kicking one each.
Despite some good plays from Kelmscott on Saturday, it just wasn’t enough as they finished the game with seven goals and four points compared to Mt Lawley’s 15 goals and five points.
Next week for round 12, Kelmscott takes on Stirling at Richard Guelfi Reserve at 3:05pm, before heading to home ground on July 19 in the clash against Curtin Uni Wesley.
Men’s C4 Reserves
The Kelmscott men’s Reserves followed suit in another heartbreaking loss against Mt Lawley on Saturday in a 20 to 93 final score.
Staying true to his strengths, Jacob Bromfield kicked two goals for Kelmscott, supported by Tomas Wiltshire who kicked one.
Unfortunately, the efforts of the Bulldogs just weren’t enough to see a win as Mt Lawley kicked 13 goals to Kelmscott’s three goals and topped it off with 15 points to Kelmscott’s two points.
With 11 games played and only seven to go, the Bulldogs reserves are bottom of the ladder with four points.
They next take on Stirling on their home ground at Richard Guelfi Reserve at 1:10pm this Saturday, before returning to John Dunn Memorial Oval on July 19 to take on Curtin Uni Wesley.
Men’s Brett Jones Colts
Kelmscott men’s Colts carried the Bulldogs’ strength through last weekend in a thrashing win against Mt Lawley at Hamer Park.
Starting incredibly strong in the first quarter, Kelmscott were up 39 to one with six goals and three points already secured.
With a strong offense and defense continued throughout the whole game, Kelmscott continued their advantageous win through to the end of the first half with another four goals and five points scored in the second quarter, with a score of 68 compared to Mt Lawley’s two.
In the third quarter, Mt Lawley’s two points remained the same, but the Bulldogs’ score jumped again to 109 with 16 goals and 13 points.
In the final quarter, the Bulldogs kicked 23 goals and 17 points, while Mt Lawley had a drastic loss with only one goal and two points, with the final score 155 to eight in favour of Kelmscott.
Noah Soper kicked a whopping six goals, while Tyson Hoare followed closely kicking five goals. Israel Bucktin also worked hard on the field to kick two goals.
The Bulldogs Colts sit fourth on the ladder with 32 points ahead of this week’s 1:15pm game against Collegians Colts at College Park.
The next home game for the Colts is at 11:15am on July 19 against Curtin Uni Wesley.
All Abilities
The All Abilities League Bulldogs met their match for round nine against Coolbinia on Saturday at their opposition’s home ground.
In a final 44 draw game, the All Abilities worked hard throughout the whole game, but especially kicked up the gear in the second half.
In the first quarter, the Bulldogs were down by only two points as both teams had a goal secured.
By the end of the first half, Kelmscott were up 28 with four goals and four points, leaving Coolbinia behind on 12 with only on goals and six points.
The Bulldog strength was carried out on the field in the third quarter, with the All Abilities remaining on top with a score of 36 from five goals and six points, compared to Coolbinia’s two goals and eight points to make up a score of 20.
However, in the tough final quarter, the Bulldogs kicked one more goal and two more points to finish with six goals and eight points, while Coolbinia also finished with the same score.
Fraser Kickett was a strong player for the Bulldogs, kicking three goals last weekend, supported by Kaleb Nicholas, Lawrence Tondut and Jaxon Hay who each kicked one goal.
The All Abilities are third on the ladder with 22 points, only two points behind Willetton.
They next play Swan Districts this Saturday at home at 3:30pm, before being celebrated at the 5pm Abilities Ball.
