Last year's event.

This Sunday Christmas cheer will again light up the City of Armadale at the annual carols by candlelight and Christmas parade.

It’s the 20th anniversary of the city hosting the much-loved event.

Kicking off at 6pm in the Jull Street mall the Christmas parade will feature colourful characters and community groups.

Leading the crowd to memorial park, Santa Claus will give his Christmas address and share some special words of wisdom with the children in the lead up to Christmas.

Enjoy performances from schools and choirs supported by the Armadale city concert band led by musical director Amanda Johnson.

Soloist Katherine John, classic sounds choir and the Roleystone Christmas choir as well as choirs from Armadale primary school, Pioneer village school and John Wollaston Anglican community school will also entertain.

A salvation army Christmas appeal food bank will be stationed in the park where guests can donate food items.

The event is free and families were encouraged to attend early to get close to the parade.
The event runs until 8.30pm.
