A new aged care home will officially open in Rossmoyne next month, marking the second stage of a major redevelopment by Adventist Care.
The organisation has been based in Rossmoyne since 1963 and is now expanding its Rossmoyne Waters site to meet the growing demand for quality senior living.
Stage two of the redevelopment includes 65 new independent living apartments and a state-of-the-art residential aged care facility called ‘Arrana’. The new building replaces the former Sherwin Lodge and offers high care accommodation in a modern, home-like setting.
CEO Gary Blagden said Arrana was designed to give residents a homely experience, with purpose-built features and advanced technology to improve care and reduce risks.
He said Rossmoyne Waters offers a” continuum of care,” with residents supported through retirement living, home care services and full-time residential care. The Christian values behind Adventist Care help create a community spirit, where people look out for one another.
The official opening ceremony will be held on Sunday morning, July 27 at 43 Bull Creek Road, Rossmoyne. Guests will hear from several speakers and take small group tours of the new facilities.
Confirmed guests include City of Canning Mayor Patrick Hall, State Member for Riverton Dr Jags Krishnan, Federal Member for Tangney Sam Lim, and South Pacific Division President of the Seventh-day Adventist Church Glenn Townend.
Mr Blagden said the site’s riverside location, long history and caring culture made Rossmoyne Waters one of Perth’s most sought-after retirement destinations.
Planning is already underway for the third and final stage of the redevelopment, which will include another multistorey apartment building for self-care retirement living.
