21-year-old Harry Haustein appeared at the Armadale Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday via video link.

The Arson Squad have charged a 27-year-old Serpentine man after a series of pipe bomb explosions in Byford, Mount Nasura and Thornlie.

It will be alleged that Lochlan Mark Brown set off three explosions in August with two of the explosions causing damage to property.

He has been charged with three counts of Causing Explosion Likely to do Serious Injury to Property, and one count of Fail to Obey Data Access Order.

He appeared before the Armadale Magistrates Court on Tuesday for the first time and his lawyer was successful in seeking an adjournment before a plea is entered.

He was not in custody.

The offence of Causing Explosion likely to do Serious Injury to Property carries a maximum penalty of 20 years’ imprisonment.
