A fatal crash occurred in Cardup.

A fatal bus crash in Perth City last week has resulted in a Piara Waters man being charged.

Approximately 6:15pm Friday June 20, a Perth Transit Authority bus turned right from Milligan Street on to Wellington Street and allegedly struck a man who was crossing Wellington Street.

The 45-year-old male pedestrian received critical injuries and died at the scene.

The bus driver, a 37-year-old man from Piara Waters, was uninjured and assisted police with their investigation.

The bus driver has been charged with careless driving causing death, and is due to appear before Perth Magistrates court on July 18.
