The free, family-friendly Japan Club event will be held in Byford.

The rich culture of Japan is coming to Byford for locals to experience without the hassle of a passport.

The free Japan Club event brings a taste of Japanese culture and food to the shire of Serpentine Jarrahdale from silk kimonos to fresh sushi.

Organised by Gold Educational Tours, all ages are welcome to attend the interactive experience.

Event organiser Wayne Sheldon said the one-day event was created to connect West Aussies with Japanese culture, especially as its tourism increases.

“We’re passionate about connecting West Australians with Japanese culture in fun and meaningful ways,” he said.

“This event is a chance for families and community members of all ages to experience Japanese traditions, make new friends, and learn something new.”

The event will be held on Thursday July 10 from 6pm at Byford Secondary College.
