History will be created this Saturday when Ryan Davies, aka as “Private”, will run onto Gosnells Oval this Saturday to play his 350th game for the Gosnells Hawks Football Club.

Ryan is the club record holder of games played for the club.

Members and former teammates are encouraged to attend Gosnells Oval at 1.45 pm to celebrate Ryan’s milestone game.

Starting out in the Gosnells Junior Football Club, Ryan played an estimated 140 games with the juniors before he graduated to the senior club in 1998.

He then made his league debut in 1998 and has gone on to play 17 colts games, 122 reserve games and 211 league games for the Hawks.

Ryan said that the highlight of his career was playing in League Premiership teams in 2008 and 2009.

Questioned on his longevity in the sport, Ryan said that he had no plans to retire as he enjoyed playing Australian Rules Football and would continue to play for as long as his fitness allowed.

Ryan is a life member of the Gosnells Hawks Football Club.

Ryan Davies joins a distinguished list of long-serving players who have achieved notable successes for the club, since its foundation in 1911.

This weekend the Gosnells Hawks League team take on Swan Valley at 2.15pm at Gosnells Oval, the Reserves kick off from 12.20 at Gosnells Oval and Goomarin Women’s Team game against Bayswater Blues kicks off from 4.30pm at Gosnells Oval.
