The WA centre for Perinatal Mental Health & Parenting Support (WACPPS) is hosting a charity golf day next month to raise funds and awareness for men’s mental health.

The event, which will be held during Men’s Health Month, will take place at the Gosnells Golf Club on Sunday, June 29, with registrations opening at 12pm and tee-off at 12:30pm. Proceeds will go towards WACPPS programs that support fathers and partners facing mental health challenges during the perinatal period.

WACPPS has partnered with Big Emotions Academy. The founder, Corey Gaidzionis, set to deliver a keynote presentation titled ‘Showing Up for Yourself’, focusing on emotional honesty in leadership and parenting.

“We’re particularly excited to have Corey Gaidzionis from Big Emotions Academy deliver his powerful presentation,” Rebecca McCready, Stakeholder Engagement and Triage Officer at WACPPS, said.

She added, “We’re thrilled to have the City of Gosnells supporting our mission.”

The City of Gosnells is sponsoring the event as part of its commitment to local mental health initiatives.

Gosnells Golf Club General Manager, Shaun Malone, said the club was proud to back the cause following the successful International Women’s Day High Tea earlier this year, run by WACPPS’S sister organisation, Women’s Health & Wellbeing Services.

CEO of WACPPS, Emma Basc, will also MC the day. She will share why mental health support for the whole family matters.
