New energy was brought to this year’s Kelmscott Agricultural Show as entertainers AC/DC Tribute Band, local singer-songwriter Dylan Hutchins and folk-rock artists No Mountain Band brought punters to their feet and dancing on the grass.
Kelmscott show organiser Bec said the Disney tribute show Faraway Land was also popular for both children and adults, with everyone singing their favourite Disney tunes.
“Everybody loves the rides and showbags and the excitement of sideshow alley,” Bec said.
“We also brought back the treasure hunt, which we introduced last year and was completed by a huge number of families and took them to parts of the show they may not have even known existed.”
With the weather up and down recently, Bec said they were lucky to have nice weather on the day.
As Alex Smith told the Examiner earlier this month, the Kelmscott Agricultural Society focussed on having a range of free activities at this year’s show.

“We understand the cost of living is high,” Alex said.
Honouring the society’s commitment to free entertainment, Bec said she heard good things from punters about the range of free activities available on the day, like the treasure hunt.
