In conjunction with Volunteer Week, the City of Armadale is acknowledging those locals who have selflessly given up their time to serve their local community.
The Humans of Armadale program, which is based on a similar program in New York, aims to highlight these often-unsung heroes.
Some 22 volunteers have already been selected who have committed their time, resources, expertise and passion to help those in need in our city.
The City of Armadale will focus on volunteers in this year’s humans of Armadale 2025 initiative recognising their acts of service.
City of Armadale Mayor Ruther Butterfield said she recognises that the acts of service by the volunteers who should be on honoured and believes it’s a proud moment for the city. “We’re really proud of all our volunteers, who make a significant contribution to the City through their acts of service,” she said.
“Humans of Armadale is a great opportunity to share these stories, and recognise the work that our volunteers do, as their work is often less visible.”
The exhibit opens Tuesday, May 27 at Kelmscott Hall.
