) The Reserves’ Billy Westcott celebrates his 50-game milestone.

It will be a top of the ladder clash this Saturday as the undefeated League Men’s power house teams Kelmscott Bulldogs and Kenwick Royals battle for the top spot on the premiership ladder, 3pm at Mills Park.

The Old Sunday League foes last played each other in the September Grand Final, where Kenwick snatched the Premiership Honours in a tightly contested and physical football game.

League

Over the weekend, Kelmscott’s League Mens tore North Fremantle apart as the Bulldogs mid field blasted the ball into the forward fifty. The team welcomed new ruckman Michael Galvin and mid Dominic Warrell, as an old favourite & former premiership player James ‘Chucky’ Hansen returned to the Bulldogs for his first game since 2021. Filled with gusto and vibrance like a 21-year-old former self, the now seasoned Hansen launched at the football from the forward pocket. At the roar of the onlookers on top of the hill, Hansen booted three to secure his return to football. Not to be out done as leading goal kicker, Angus Yarran kept his boots on target with 5. Kelmscott 20.17 (137) kept North Fremantle’s season Winless 3.0 (18).

Reserves

It was the last quarter of the Reserves, and captain Billy Westcott’s celebrating his 50th club game milestone ran into the forward fifty demanding the ball from team mate Jacob Bromfield. Despite Jacobs hesitancy, he speared the ball to Billy, only to be met by an eager defender who spoilt the chance at goal. Kelmscott Reserves 3.3 (21) couldn’t claw back from a high scoring first half of North Fremantle 11.12 (78).

Women’s

With Seven Goal’s to her name for the weekend, Ashley McHenry was the clear goal kicking winner for the club on Saturday. The team’s usual kickers Summer Yarran and Anna-Shae Michael also took turns at a shoot-out against Kenwick, kicking 3 majors each. Kelmscott Womens 19.11 (125) beat Kenwick 1.2 (8).

Integrated

The Bulldogs Integrated team were feeling confident against the former premiers Willetton. Best on Ground Daniel Harvey attacked the football to kick 2 goals aided by mids Tim Davies, Fraser Kickett and Lee Maas who kicked one each. Singing the song loudly Kelmscott All Abilities 6.11 (47) beat Willetton 5.2 (32).

Colts

The Kelmscott Colts came out the kennel early and kicked away in the first quarter to snatch an early lead. Despite North Fremantle winning the third quarter it was not going to be enough to contend against the third placed Kelmscott Colts. Jamie Hartley had 3, while Noah Soper and Trenton Collard had 2 each on the scoreboard. Kelmscott Colts 11.16 (82) defeated North Fremantle 6.3 (39)
