Curtin University is offering a unique opportunity for aspiring entrepreneurs with the 2025 Curtin Ignition program.
Now in its 15th year, this intensive one-week program helps participants turn their business ideas into reality.
The program is open to a wide range of individuals, whether they’re considering starting a new business, currently employed with a creative idea, or existing business owners looking to diversify. Curtin Ignition is open to all stages of the entrepreneurial journey, from students to seasoned professionals.
Up to 80 scholarships will be offered for the 2025 program, which includes expert-led workshops, mentoring sessions, and networking with some of Australia’s leading entrepreneurs and investors. The goal is to give participants the confidence and tools they need to take their ideas further.
Professor Vanessa Chang, Pro Vice-Chancellor of Curtin University’s Faculty of Business and Law, spoke about the program’s impact over the years.
“Curtin Ignition has been a launchpad for many of WA’s most exciting new businesses,” she said.
“It’s about helping people refine their ideas, build a business plan, and move forward with clarity.”
Since its launch, the program has supported over 800 aspiring business owners, with more than 370 going on to create their own ventures or participate in Curtin’s Accelerate program.
Alumni include successful startups like Rhinohide, SpaceDraft, and OMNI Health.
Curtin Ignition 2025 will take place from August 30 to September 5 at Curtin’s Bentley campus. Participants will leave with a clearer vision for their business, ready to take the next steps toward turning their idea into a successful venture.
