Major crime squad officers are investigating the suspicious death of a 25-year-old woman found on the road at the corner of Apsley Road and Brolga Promenade in Willetton in the early hours of June 29.

Lorraine Jane Hansen was found about 12.15am by members of the public.

She had suffered life-threatening injuries and was taken to Fiona Stanley Hospital where she died a short time later.

Major crime squad detective sergeant Anthony Thompson said Ms Hansen had been at a gathering with friends earlier in the evening at a Willetton house.

“Later in the evening, she was driven from the gathering by a friend to Vahland Avenue, where she alighted from the car,” he said.

“It is believed that her intention was to then walk to a nearby train station.”

Ms Hansen was last seen wearing a light blue hooded jumper with pink writing (Diadora), grey tracksuit pants and black sneakers.

Detectives want to speak to anyone who was in the area of Vahland Avenue, Apsley Road and Karel Avenue between the times of 10pm on June 28 to 12.45am on June 29 to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or make a report online at www.crimestoppers.com.au.

Detectives are also asking anyone with dash cam vision or CCTV to come forward to assist with inquiries.
