
With football season soon coming to a close, our beloved Bulldogs are making every game count in the lead up to the grand final.
All Abilities

In round 11 before this weekend’s bye, the All Abilities Bulldogs had an unfortunate loss against Willetton at Burrendah Reserve.
In the first quarter, Willetton were up 31 to 7, with Kelmscott only kicking one goal and one point to Willetton’s five goals and one point.
The Bulldogs brought it back in the second quarter, kicking another two goals with Willetton only kicking another one, but they struggled at the return from half time with only four goals and one point for Kelmscott, and 11 goals and two points for Willetton.
At the end of the fourth quarter, Willetton had the win with 13 goals and two points to total 80, with Bulldogs having eight goals and six points to total 54.
Lee Maas kicked three goals for Kelmscott, with Fraser Kickett – who celebrated 150 All Abilities games – kicking two, and Jameelee Plummer, Larry Tadday and Trent Fleming kicking one each.
The Bulldogs return on July 26 at Creyk Park for round 13 against Curtin Uni Wesley and have 26 points to sit third on the ladder.
Men’s Brett Jones Colts
The Bulldogs Colts played a great game on Saturday at Charles Riley Reserve against North Beach to bring home the win for round 13.
The Colts started off strong with 31 in the first quarter made up of five goals and one point and carried that through to the second quarter to secure another three goals to finish the first half with 49.
In a slow third quarter where only two points were kicked, the Bulldogs locked down the defence to come back and kick another three goals and three points in the final quarter.
The Bulldogs finished with 11 goals and six points compared to North Beach’s five goals and nine points in a final 72 to 39 score.
Bulldog Trenton Collard kicked three goals, while Benjamin Ryder and Noah Soper kicked two, and Israel Bucktin, Lawrence Stack-burns, Kayleb Peach and Ben O’Shaughnessy kicked one each.
The Colts play at home this weekend against Curtin Uni Wesley in the Bulldog’s NAIDOC

round and are tied third on 40 points with this weekend’s opposition, so it’s a must win.
Men’s C4
The men had another win last weekend against Noranda at Lightning Park in a 69 to 57 final score.
The Bulldogs had a slow start with 14 in the first quarter with two goals and two points and then doubled their score by the end of half time.
In the third quarter, they kicked another goal and one more point to finish on 37 but then had the power to bring it home in the final quarter.
The men kicked five more goals and two more points to finish with 10 goals and nine points.
Deputy vice-captain Angus Yarran kicked a whopping five goals, while Tyson Hoare kicked three goals for Kelmscott, and Matthew Wilkeds and Owen Dann both kicked one each.
The men also play at John Dunn Memorial Oval this weekend against Wesley, tied second on 40 points with Stirling.
Men’s Reserves
The Reserves had a narrow miss on the weekend against Noranda at Lightning Park with a 52 to 35 loss.
Noranda kicked seven goals and 10 points at the end of the fourth quarter where the Bulldogs unfortunately narrowly lost the game with five goals and five points.
Top scorer Jacob Bromfield kicked two goals for Kelmscott, with Jason Green also kicking two and Brennan Fricker kicking one.
Bulldogs Reserves are bottom of the ladder with four points and one win but have the highest goal kickers in the league.
In his 13 games, Kelmscott’s Jacob Bromfield has kicked 35 goals, making him the Perth Reserve Leagues highest scorer.
The Reserves also join in with the NAIDOC round at homeland this weekend.
Women’s C1
The Women’s team had a well-deserved bye last week but take on Roleystone at home turf this Saturday morning.
They’re third on the ladder on 32 points, only four points behind Ocean Ridge in Second, with Kwinana on 44 points and zero losses this season to date.
