Cannington local policing team officers have charged a 43 year old Tom Price man after a road rage incident in Canning Vale on January 14.

At about 9.40am the man was involved in an incident with another motorist on Ranford Road near Wright Road in Harrisdale.

It will be alleged the man followed the driver of a Holden Cruze in an aggressive manner.

When the Holden stopped at a red light at the intersection of Warton and Ranford Roads in Canning Vale, the man got out of his Toyota Landcruiser and knocked on the driver’s window of the Holden.

He then kicked the side mirror causing minor damage to the vehicle.

The Holden driver filmed the incident and posted it on social media where it quickly went viral.

The 43 year old man was charged with criminal damage and is due to appear in the Perth magistrates court on January 29.

Canning Vale Acting Senior Sergeant James Brooker said the man handed himself into Cannington police station in the morning.

He said road rage wasn’t usually as severe as this case with most usually ending in a verbal altercation.

Anyone who witnesses road rage is asked call police on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
