Residents in the southeast metro district wishing to take part in commemorative services on November 11 can do so at various locations in the area.
Ahead of Remembrance Day on Saturday, the Shire of Serpentine Jarrahdale and the cities of Canning, Armadale and Gosnells will observe a minute’s silence at the 11th hour to remember the sacrifice and service of those men and women in the armed forces both past and present.

The Shire of Serpentine Jarrahdale:
The Serpentine Jarrahdale RSL is holding a service at the ANZAC Memorial Park in Byford on Saturday from 10.45am to 11.10am.
Also, in the lead up to Remembrance Day, poppies will be available for purchase at the Byford Tavern, the Byford and Districts Country Club, SJ Resource Centre, the Strand Café, the council office and the Byford Bakery.
The gold coin donations go to the Defence Welfare Fund.
The City of Gosnells:
The Gosnells RSL will host the Remembrance Day service by the cenotaph at the Civic Centre gardens.
The service starts at 11am but residents have been advised to arrive between 10.30am and 10.45am.
The Last Post will be played and the Australian flag will be flown at half-mast, followed by the national anthem and the laying of the wreaths.
The City of Armadale:
The Armadale RSL will host the Remembrance Day service at Memorial Park on the corner of Orchard Avenue and Jull Street.
The service starts at 11am but residents have been advised to arrive between 10.30am and 10.45am.
The City of Canning:
The Canning Districts RSL Sub-Branch will commemorate Remembrance Day with a service at 11am followed by a public lunch in honour of servicemen and women.
The Ode to Remembrance will be read out at the service.
The lunch will be from 1pm until 5pm at 126 Wharf Street.
The Canning RSL is also selling poppies at venues across Cannington including Carousel Shopping Centre at Myer and Woolworths, Bunnings, Hambleys Supa ISG and Bentley Plaza.
