Older brother Jei all smiles with baby Jordan in happier times.

In the days leading up to her son’s death anniversary a Gosnells mother and her family where left heartbroken when they found out their 15-month old baby’s urn had been stolen.

Mother of four Renae said she was staying with her mother on July 21 when she heard about the theft.

She said her Gosnells home was allegedly trashed causing her to lose thousands of dollars worth of items but it was the urn she wanted back the most.

“It’s irreplaceable,” she said.

“I just want it back.”

Renae lost her son about 17 years ago to subglottic hemangioma, which is a large mass in the airway below the vocal cords causing varying degrees of airway obstruction.

She said despite being in and out of hospital baby Jordan was a friendly and courageous little boy.

“We used to put on music for him on TV,” she said.

“He couldn’t speak and he had a tracheotomy but he used to get up in his cot and jump up and down especially when Weapon of Choice would play.”

Renae said she and her family have appealed to the public to try and locate the urn including handing out flyers at shopping centres.

Member for Southern River Terry Healy said hearing about the theft was heartbreaking and he could not imagine what the family was going through.

Gosnells Police Station Senior Sergeant Jodie Pearson said so far all lines of inquiry had been exhausted.

“We are seeking assistance from the public,” she said.

“A distinctive pair of Timberland boots was also stolen.”
