Two police pursuits startle communities from Serpentine to Thornlie

Cannington Detectives have taken two men into custody following a police pursuit around lunch time, that began in Thornlie and ended near the Perth Airport.

The vehicle, a Ford Territory station sedan, was stolen overnight from an address in Thornlie.

This vehicle was sighted around 11:50am this morning in Thornlie, and when police attempted to stop the vehicle, it failed to stop and police pursued.

A stinger device was successfully deployed during this incident, resulting in the vehicle coming to a stop and two men being arrested.

The men currently remain in custody assisting with inquiries.

There was a second high-speed police pursuit today around 2pm with witnesses from Serpentine to Kelmscott.

Police have not released any information about that pursuit.
