Member for Burt Matt Keogh said there's no cloud over funding for the flyover

Burt MP Matt Keogh has disputed Senator Matt O’Sullivan’s claim last week that construction of the Nicholson Road and Garden Street flyover in Thornlie is under a cloud.

He said people living in Canning Vale, Thornlie and surrounds know that the intersection at Nicholson Road, Garden Street and Yale Road needs improving,” he said.

“That’s why last year, the Federal and State Labor Governments committed $80 million to build a flyover at this intersection.”
He said traffic modelling was underway.
”We are committed to delivering this important upgrade as soon as possible,” Mr Keogh said.

“It is deeply disappointing to see Senator O’Sullivan spreading misinformation about the Garden Street, Nicholson Road intersection.

“This project is budgeted for, with joint State and Federal funding.

“Traffic modelling to inform the final design of this intersection is currently underway.

“This project is happening, despite the Liberal’s lies.”
