For 50 years the Armadale/Kelmscott Lions Club has been bringing Santa to excited kids all over the City of Armadale.
The annual Santa Sleigh Run started off as a sleigh hitched on top of a ute all those many years ago.
Santa and his elf helpers would wander the streets over two weeks, spreading Christmas joy to all.
Fifty years later, and the sleigh on a ute lives on. And Santa still covers the entire City of Armadale, by stopping off at different neighbourhood parks each night.
There’ll be sweets for all who attend, and Santa said he won’t rest until each little visitor gets a chance to tell him their Christmas hopes and dreams.
The Santa Sleigh Run will be held from December 4 – 13, with help from the local Scouts and Guides.
