Serpentine Jarrahdale Career and Enterprise Expo is a free school and community event.

The Serpentine Jarrahdale Career and Enterprise Expo returns to Byford Secondary College this month.

The two-day, free event is a chance for students and the broader community to explore workplace opportunities and make industry connections.

Attendees can expect to hear from local leaders in a field of interest, participate in masterclasses and develop the skills to pursue a career in a field of choosing.

On Friday June 27, the expo is catered to school students in the Serpentine Jarrahdale area, with 80 industry partners attending to discuss post school career pathways.

Each school can register to have a 90-minute session between 9am and 3pm which is designed for years nine to 12.

A specialised parent’s session will be held from 3pm until 5pm.                                       The community day is Saturday June 28 and is designed for community members to network with industries to become inspired about a career change or understand more about a job for their children.

Industry categories including community and support services, health, building and construction, defence and emergency services, agriculture, education and the arts will be showcased.

Stalls will feature the likes of companies, businesses and education facilities including universities, TAFEs, Alcoa, Activ Foundation, McDonalds, TourismWA and the Shire of Serpentine Jarrahdale.

Approximately 2000 people are expected to attend the two day career expo.
