Lake Road was closed south bound this afternoon after firefighters battled a suspicious blaze burning metres from houses at Eva and Bill Moore Reserve in Camillo.
Members of the public called firefighters at 1.39pm.
Career and volunteer crews from Armadale and Maddington had the blaze under control by 2pm and were extinguishing flare ups until 3pm.
The fire burnt 400 square metres of bush at the reserve.
A Department of Fire and Emergency Services spokeswoman said the fire was suspicious.
