Happy attendees beat the heat at last year’s Tropic Like It’s Hot

Gosnells’ coolest event on its summer calendar is back – bigger and better.

Tropic Like It’s Hot is bringing a family-friendly beach vibe, featuring more than 25 giant inflatable water slides, Supa-Soak Maze, obstacle and games arenas, Jolly Roger Pirate Ship, Mini Splash Zone for children under eight and more.

A DJ will play summer tunes, roaming performers will entertain the crowds and there will be photo opportunities with a mermaid and a red-hot Cadillac.

This popular pop-up water park will be at Sutherlands Park, Huntingdale, on Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 February, for two sessions each day, from 9am – 12pm and 1.30pm – 4.30pm.

Gosnells mayor Terresa Lynes said Tropic Like It’s Hot was always a fun day for the whole family, and a great way to beat the summer sizzle.

“Tropic Like It’s Hot is one of our most popular events, offering summer fun and entertainment for the whole community,” she said.

Ms Lynes advised people to book their tickets as soon as possible, to avoid missing out.

“Make the most of it by aiming to arrive at least 20 minutes prior to your scheduled session time and bring a gold coin for parking, and another coin for the bag drop, if you need it,” she said.

“Wear your bathers and bring a towel, change of clothes and shoes – and don’t forget to slip, slop, slap and slide!”

Attendees can buy food and drink from food trucks or bring along a picnic.

Tickets for each session are just $5 per person aged two years and over, including spectators.
