Lynwood Senior High School’s Year 11 Hospitality students put their skills to the test on Sunday, at the City of Canning’s recent pioneer’s afternoon tea.
The students impressed guest and organisers with their professionalism and enthusiasm.
The students joined a professional catering team to serve high tea and hot drinks, keep refreshments topped up, and ensure the event ran smoothly. Their efforts didn’t go unnoticed, with the event’s catering supervisor praising the group for their teamwork, enthusiasm and respectful service.
As a reward, the students enjoyed a well-earned lunch from Miss Maud’s and the chance to chat with long-time residents about how the Canning region and teenage life, has changed over the decades.
Lynwood SHS said they were proud of how confidently and respectfully the students represented the school, adding that the hands-on experience was a valuable lesson in both hospitality and community connection.
