Attackers flee after injuring two in Maddington

A man was hit in the face with a brick and another was threatened with a broken bottle in Maddington this morning.

About 2.25am the two victims went to investigate what appeared to be people breaking into a car.

The men walked to the intersection of Aroona and Kemshall ways where they were confronted by two males who demanded their wallets.

When the men said they had no property on them one of the offenders smashed a beer bottle and threatened one victim.

When one victim attempted to intervene he was struck in the face with a brick.

The offenders fled on foot.

Police attended and found five vehicles on Aroona Way had been broken into.

The victims, a 27-year-old and 29-year-old, were taken to Armadale hospital with cuts and bruises.

The two offenders were described as being about 20 years of age with fair skin.

One was wearing cargo shorts and the other a bright coloured top.
