Police charged a 23-year-old Byford man following an alleged ram raid in Canning Vale yesterday.

About 2.25am on November 23 offenders allegedly drove a vehicle through the rear doors of a hobby store in Bannister Road and stole numerous remote control vehicles, planes and drones.

Remote control planes, vehicles and drones were among the items found in the raid.

Armadale detectives searched a home in Plaistowe Boulevard, Byford on November 24 and allegedly uncovered remote control planes, vehicles and drones, several paintings, a compactor, rifle and scope and a large quantity of ammunition.

Police alleged the items were stolen during several burglaries in Baldivis, Caversham and Kingsley between August and November this year.

The value of the recovered property was believed to be about $50,000.

The man was charged with no authority to drive, receiving, possessing an unlicensed firearm, possessing a prohibited drug, possessing a smoking implement, possessing stolen or unlawfully obtained property, possessing a prohibited weapon and five counts of possessing unlicensed ammunition.

A 29-year-old Warnbro man has been charged with aggravated burglary, criminal damage, stealing and stealing a motor vehicle.

Both men appeared in the Armadale magistrate’s court today.
